Description We are looking for a skilled Compensation & Benefits Specialist to oversee and enhance our U.S. employee benefits programs and regional compensation frameworks. This role requires a strategic approach to ensure competitiveness, compliance, cost efficiency, and alignment with the organization’s talent objectives. Based in Novi, Michigan, this position collaborates closely with the Americas HR Team Manager to deliver impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and manage daily operations of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and wellness plans.
• Lead benefits enrollment processes, including onboarding, annual open enrollment communication, and vendor coordination.
• Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to ensure benefits packages remain competitive and cost-effective.
• Oversee the annual benefits renewal cycle, including vendor negotiations, data analysis, and presenting cost-impact recommendations.
• Manage 401(k) plan operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and accurate recordkeeping.
• Support compensation cycles, including merit adjustments, salary reviews, and bonus processes through data validation and reporting.
• Assist with compensation benchmarking, salary structure maintenance, and internal equity evaluations.
• Develop and provide compensation data and analytics to HR business partners and leadership for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while monitoring legal and market changes.
• Participate in environmental, health, and safety initiatives to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in compensation and benefits roles.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive information responsibly and work across regional boundaries.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and familiarity with FMLA regulations is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated understanding of cultural and regional differences in HR practices.
