Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Bloomfield, Connecticut. In this role, you will oversee employee benefit programs, manage claims administration, and ensure compliance with payroll-related processes. This position is well-suited for individuals with strong analytical skills and expertise in benefits management. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough audits of employee benefit programs to ensure compliance and accuracy. • Administer claims for medical, dental, vision, and other employee benefits. • Reconcile insurance payments, addressing any discrepancies in a timely manner. • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and provide clear guidance on plan options. • Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure accurate processing of benefits-related deductions. • Regularly review active employee benefits to verify eligibility and adherence to policies. • Coordinate with external vendors, including insurance providers, to resolve benefit-related issues. • Use tools like Cisco Webex Meetings to facilitate discussions on benefits programs. • Generate detailed reports analyzing the utilization and effectiveness of benefit programs. • Support audits and reconciliations to uphold the integrity of benefits-related data. Requirements • Proven experience in auditing employee benefits and managing claims administration. • Comprehensive knowledge of benefit programs, including medical, dental, and vision plans. • Familiarity with payroll processes and benefits-related deductions. • Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with employees and external vendors. • Proficiency in using tools such as Workforce Now and Cisco Webex Meetings. • Exceptional attention to detail paired with robust analytical skills. • Experience working with insurance providers and handling reconciliations. • Understanding of compliance regulations related to employee benefits.
