Compensation and Benefits Specialist
Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced Compensation and Benefits Specialist for a contract role to support our client's strategic HR initiatives. Key Responsibilities + Compensation Strategy and Design: Analyze compensation structures and benchmark data to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity, aligning with organizational goals. + Benefits Design and Implementation: Evaluate current benefit programs, recommend improvements, and support the seamless rollout of new plans (e.g., health benefits, wellness programs, retirement plans). + Policy Development: Craft and update compensation and benefits policies to align with compliance requirements, company objectives, and evolving industry trends. + Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, such as FLSA, ACA, and ERISA. + Data and Analytics: Prepare and present compensation and benefits reports using analytics to inform decision-making and optimize program effectiveness. + Collaboration and Support: Partner with HR teams, recruiters, and leadership to address compensation and benefits inquiries and deliver effective employee communication plans. + Project Management: Lead or support special projects related to compensation and benefits, such as pay equity analysis, total rewards strategy development, or benefit vendor transitions. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. + 4+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, or total rewards, preferably within a mid-to-large-sized organization. + Strong understanding of compensation structures, salary benchmarking tools, and benefits program administration. + Hands-on knowledge of relevant regulations (FLSA, ACA, ADA, ERISA, etc.). + Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. + Advanced proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS), Excel, and compensation/benefits benchmarking software. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
