Compensation Analyst II (on-site)

The Compensation Analyst II is responsible for the design, analysis, and effective administration of Dollar Tree’s compensation plan, programs, and policies. The position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of compensation programs, conducting external market analysis, as well as design and analysis of existing and future compensation programs. Duties include conducting position evaluations, job classifications, incentive design analysis, assessing the budgetary impact of compensation decisions, and providing oversight of compliance with all applicable regulations and labor laws.
Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide analytical support for compensation programs across all lines of business, Corporate, Supply Chain, and retail Store OperationsConduct compensation analysis to determine Company’s competitive position and to set appropriate promotional and hiring pay levels based on internal rates, performance levels, and external job and market pay comparisonsResponsible for maintaining the Company’s salary structuresLead the Company’s participation in salary surveys and analysis of resultsAssist with all compensation components of the annual performance process, including, merit planning, bonus accrual and calculations, and administration of LTI awards for all AssociatesEvaluate the effectiveness of compensation programs and make recommendations for enhancements that deliver on Dollar Tree’s commitment to pay for performanceCollaborate with all areas of the business to assist with the design, implementation, and communication of incentive plans that reward Associates for delivering desired business resultsCreate and maintain documentation for incentive plans for accuracyWork with business partners to accurately benchmark new and existing roles and creating job descriptionsAssist in the development of compensation education and training materialsParticipate in special projects related to compensation programs or systems on an as-needed basis
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Compensation experience in a retail or Supply Chain organization preferred
• Experience with retail or sales compensation preferred
• 4-5 years’ experience with compensation
• Experience with Workday, particularly in compensation modules.
• Strong understanding of HR systems and processes, with experience in data conversion and validation.
• Working knowledge of job evaluation and job analysis systems
• Bachelor's in human resources, Business or Finance
• Previous experience with corporate compensation analysis, experience with retail or sales compensation desired
• Advanced Excel
• Knowledge in FLSA
