Compensation Analyst

Johnson Service Group is looking for a contract Compensation Analyst to work in the Dallas, TX, location.
This position is responsible for the development, implementation, execution, and ongoing assessment of the company’s compensation program through researching, analyzing, and administering the organization’s base salary and incentive plans. This role will also serve in a consultative capacity to leadership and People Team members regarding compensation principles and practices to ensure our programs align with business strategy and the Total Rewards philosophy and provide a competitive Total Reward package for our Partners.
Completing survey data, market pay benchmarking, supporting the career architecture structure, reviewing and recommending pay changes, preparing for YE merit cycle
The systems that will be using are UKG, PayFactors, Excel, etc.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Compensation, or related field.
Experience: 2–4 years in compensation administration or HR roles—preferably in a government or public-sector environment.
Strong proficiency with Excel and experience in data analysis.
Familiarity with compensation systems or HRIS platforms (e.g., CAPPS, PeopleSoft, Workday).
Solid understanding of pay equity principles, salary classification, and compliance with state pay and labor regulations.
Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and ability to keep sensitive data secure.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
Prior experience with public-sector compensation structures.
Ability to translate complex compensation policies into plain-language guidance for staff.
Analytical mindset, comfortable creating summaries and dashboards to inform leadership.
