Community Support Counselor

In this role, you’ll provide personalized support that empowers individuals to achieve their goals, build meaningful connections, and take part in everyday community life.
What You’ll Do:
+ Build trusting, supportive relationships with individuals you serve
+ Contribute to person-centered plans that help individuals achieve their personal goals and dreams
+ Teach independent living skills and strategies that promote growth and self-reliance
+ Provide guidance to strengthen social skills and community connections
+ Coach individuals in pursuing volunteer opportunities or employment
+ Support participation in recreational and community activities that reflect each person’s interests

Qualifications:
+ 1+ year of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities preferred
+ Valid driver’s license required

The pay for this position is $16.84 per hour. Pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
