Overview
The Community Relations Specialist provides operational and administrative support to the Senior Director of Community Relations and Patient Engagement and VP of Sales while assisting with sales development initiatives. This role supports the sales and clinical operations teams through CRM management, reporting, lead generation, and coordination of meetings, events, and other sales activities.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct outbound prospecting, including cold calling and follow-up, to generate business opportunities.
+ Research and qualify prospective leads using directories, conferences, references, and tradeshows.
+ Present company services to prospective clients and schedule qualified appointments for the sales team.
+ Support the transition of qualified leads and advancement of the sales process.
+ Track and report sales activity and performance metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
+ Maintain prospect and client information in CRM systems (Salesforce, Excel, EMR) and internal reporting tools.
+ Gather and document competitive intelligence and ensure it is maintained in CRM systems.
+ Assist with onboarding new sales hires, including system setup and training coordination.
+ Support planning and execution of sales meetings, conferences, tradeshows, and workshops.
+ Manage promotional items, sponsorships, sales giveaways, and vendor relationships.
+ Provide administrative support to sales leadership and manage internal collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
+ Coordinate operational resources, including company accounts and tools used by the sales team.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned to support sales growth and operational efficiency.
+ Reconnect and re-enroll patients by conducting outreach, updating records, facilitating access to care, and coordinating with clinical teams to ensure continuity and engagement.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
+ 1–3 years of experience in sales operations, business development, inside sales, or related roles preferred.
+ Experience in healthcare or post-acute care (senior living) highly preferred.
+ CRM experience (Salesforce or similar) required.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Comfortable with outbound prospecting and lead qualification.
+ Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
+ Experience with CRM and sales management tools preferred.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks, take initiative, and support multiple stakeholders effectively.
