The Community Engagement Partner (CEP) plays a key role in advancing Novant Health’s corporate social responsibility strategy by implementing meaningful, region-specific community engagement initiatives. This role strengthens community relationships, supports access to care, builds brand awareness, and drives measurable community impact.
What You’ll Do
+ Execute community engagement programs aligned with Novant Health’s corporate social responsibility strategy.
+ Support region-specific initiatives including charitable contributions, in-kind services/donations, event sponsorships, and partnership programs.
+ Coordinate and promote team member volunteerism and giving opportunities.
+ Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with internal stakeholders, community partners, facility leaders, and medical practice groups.
+ Collaborate with local business and grassroots organizations to support strategic community priorities.
+ Manage assigned projects that advance key strategic goals and measurable outcomes.
+ Assist in guiding facility- or practice-specific community engagement efforts.
+ Ensure initiatives enhance brand awareness and support trusted, effective community partnerships.

Requirements:
+ Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
+ Experience: Minimum three (3) years of professional work experience in corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, nonprofit/public organizations, or hospital or community health setting required, required.
+ Licensure/Certification: Corporate Citizenship/Corporate Social Responsibility certification, preferred.
+ Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
+ Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of projects, partnerships and responsibilities concurrently.
+ Proven track record of success in the management of community partnerships, outreach services and initiatives.
+ Exhibited ability to problem-solve and resolve conflicts effectively and successfully communicate with diverse stakeholders, including Novant Health team members and leaders.
+ Event planning and/or marketing experience.
+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with CRM and contributions software is preferred.
+ Local and regional travel for business purposes is required. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle. Flexible work schedule to include nights and weekends as needed.
+ Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred):
+ Highly motivated self-starter who is creative and results oriented.
+ Has a working knowledge of social responsibility and community health improvement strategies.
+ Exceptional communicator and presenter with the ability to speak to an array of diverse audiences that including but not limited to, customers, stakeholders and partners.
+ Strong relationship builder who is comfortable serving as one of the “faces of Novant Health” and working to convene, connect, and collaborate to impact the community and achieve measurable outcomes.
+ Thoughtful data collector with a focus on continual tracking to support data analysis and review.
+ Exceptional customer (patient) service provider with a focus on health equity and patient satisfaction.
