The Community Engagement and Mentorship Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing Nativity Prep Academy’s mission by leading programs that connect students with caring mentors, cultivate community support, and generate essential funding for school operations. This multifaceted role oversees three core areas: special event management, grant development, and mentorship programming. The Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing the school’s special events, managing logistics, volunteer coordination, and partnerships in collaboration with the Advancement team. They also support the school’s sustainability by researching, writing, and managing grant proposals and impact reporting, helping to secure critical funding from foundations, corporations, and government sources. A key component of this role is the strategic management of Nativity Prep’s mentoring program, including recruitment, training, and relationship-building with mentors. The Coordinator develops meaningful mentor-mentee experiences, aligns the program with schoolwide goals, and ensures a high-quality, mission-driven curriculum. Importantly, mentors are engaged not only as volunteers but also as potential long-term champions of the school, creating a natural pipeline for donor cultivation and community advocacy. This position requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills, along with a deep commitment to educational equity, student growth, and Nativity Prep’s Jesuit values. The Coordinator reports jointly to the Principal and the Director of Advancement and plays a cross-functional role on both the school and advancement teams.
