A place where you can bring innovation to life. **Your role and responsibilities** Your Role and Responsibilities The cross communications professional is tasked with supporting the communications function to position IBM in the Mexican market through a series of activities that include, but are not limited to: support at IBM-led and third-party events, content development, managing interactions with other teams and functions, mainly marketing, the Latin American communications team and the key business functions to support the growth objectives established for IBM in Mexico. Key Responsibilities: · Strong Networking Skills: Build strong, collaborative relationships across teams and functions. · Great Insight into Communications: o Understand our internal and external audiences and what drives action when developing and executing strategies, messages, assets, and communications programs. o Keen to learn: Develop a deep understanding of IBM’s overall strategy and growth initiatives to ensure all content and programs align with our strategy and demonstrate how IBMers contribute to IBM’s success. o Creativity and problem solving: Suggest and promote creative strategies to tackle complex communications tasks with resourcefulness as a key skill to contribute to the team. o Storytelling: An ability to share compelling messages in a cohesive and impactful way, always with our key audience and objectives in mind. According to our Flex Policy, candidates are required to attend our office in-person three out of five days of the week. **Required technical and professional expertise** · Strong Networking Skills: Build strong, collaborative relationships across teams and functions. · Great Insight into Communications: Understand our internal and external audiences and what drives action when developing and executing strategies, messages, assets, and communications programs. · Keen to learn: Develop a deep understanding of IBM’s overall strategy and growth initiatives to ensure all content and programs align with our strategy and demonstrate how IBMers contribute to IBM’s success. · Creativity and problem solving: Suggest and promote creative strategies to tackle complex communications tasks with resourcefulness as a key skill to contribute to the team. · Storytelling: An ability to share compelling messages in a cohesive and impactful way, always with our key audience and objectives in mind. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * BA with a background on communications, design, arts or humanities is welcome. Professional experience in these fields is preferable. Other academic backgrounds are welcome, but applicability and expertise in communications tools and projects will have to be demonstrated during the recruiting process.
