When we succeed, you succeed and together our best becomes better. **HOW A COMMUNICATIONS TECHNICIAN MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:** + Provide day to day management of deployable communications systems (current and future), including inventory control, routine testing, preparation for shipment and employment as well as recovery and reconstitution. + Order replacement components necessary to restore faulty equipment. + Be prepared to conduct training on communications systems. + Assist the warehouse manager with routine warehouse operations. + Be part of a team of communications professionals supporting out of area exercises and operations. + Provide support for day-to-day staff functions for the development and coordination of planning support policy, approaches, plans for exercises, and related communications systems and operations functions. + Provide strategic and operational planning supporting mission readiness. + Responsible for coordinating transportation, recovery, and reconstitution of communication systems, and the planning associated with supporting readiness exercises. **WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:** + **Required Experience** : BA/BS and 10 years’ experience maintaining and/or operating communication systems which includes a minimum of 3 years logistics planning; experience with classified comms is preferred + **Required Technical Skills** : Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) + **Security Clearance Level** : Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility + **Required Skills and Abilities:** Subject matter expert on communication systems (experience with classified comms is preferred) and logistics planning; strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently; management and communication skills; tact and diplomacy; knowledge of a variety of best practices for communication systems and logistics to and ability to apply these skills to improve organization effectiveness; will be required to carry weight in excess of 25 pounds; ability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time at least annually with smaller trips throughout the year. + **Preferred Skills** : Experience operating and troubleshooting RF communications systems including HF, UHF/VHF, SATCOM as well as IT systems. + Experience in a SharePoint environment; DoD logistics experience + **Location** : On Customer Site, Hanover County, VA The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
