We have an impactful role as a Communications Specialist within the Electric Power Division at Caterpillar to create and deliver effective employee communications that support process excellence and improve communication workflows across the organization. You’ll support a member of the senior leadership team by ensuring all internal communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with Electric Power standards. You’ll also provide guidance and hands-on support for a wide range of internal communication needs.

What You Will Do:

Streamline communication workflows to boost efficiency and ensure consistent messagingTrack and analyze metrics to measure impact and guide improvementsDesign graphics and videos to drive engagement in campaignsCreate and manage content across employee platforms, aligning with brand voiceDevelop and share key updates through written messages, presentations, and other materialsContinuously enhance communication tools and practices for process excellencePartner with HR to shape strategies that grow leadership, foster inclusion, and deepen business understandingWork with the communications team to deliver compelling stories through written, visual, and verbal channels

What You Have:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or equivalent experience in corporate communicationsMessage Creation: Strong copywriting and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging content tailored to diverse audiences and formatsInterpersonal Relationships: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across a matrixed organization; ability to collaborate and work with leaders and business partnersInternal Communications: Experience managing internal communication tools and channels, producing and distributing content such as newsletters, campaigns and change communicationsPlanning and Organizing: Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple projects independently and with urgency; skilled at simplifying complex ideas, anticipating stakeholder needs and adjusting messaging to drive clarity and alignmentOutcomes Focus: Ability to align communication efforts with business goals, measure effectiveness and adjust tactics to improve impactSpeaking & Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in presenting ideas and recommendations to senior leaders

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
