Communications Manager, Turkey, Stores and Corporate Comms
Description Amazon Turkey is seeking an experienced, strategic, and versatile communications professional to lead Turkey Communications. This role will report directly to the Communications Director Turkey and will be responsible for developing and executing integrated communications strategies that span both corporate and consumer communications. The ideal candidate will bring a holistic approach to communications, blending traditional media relations with digital and social media expertise to create impactful, integrated campaigns. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of creating and implementing communications strategies that drive business results and enhance brand reputation. Key job responsibilities • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies that align with Amazon Turkey's business objectives • Lead proactive campaigns across Amazon.tr product categories, deal events (e.g., Prime Day, Black Friday), and other shopping moments. • Work closely with the Social Media and Influencer Manager to create and execute truly integrated campaigns across all channels • Manage and coordinate with communications agencies and contractor teams to ensure consistent delivery and messaging • Develop and oversee communications budgets, including planning and allocation for sustainability, reputation, and consumer communications campaigns • Create and track KPIs, coverage reports, and campaign effectiveness metrics to demonstrate business impact • Oversee product and feature launches, ensuring maximum impact and visibility • Manage corporate communications initiatives to build and maintain Amazon's reputation in Turkey • Create and implement integrated campaigns leveraging traditional, digital, and social media channels • Provide strategic communications counsel to internal executives on both short and long-term challenges and opportunities • Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and influencers • Manage crisis communications and issues management • Collaborate with international teams to ensure consistency in global messaging while adapting for local market needs • Act as a spokesperson for Amazon Turkey when required A day in the life Partner closely with the Social Media and Influencer Manager to create seamless, integrated campaigns Provide strategic counsel to business leaders and executives on communications opportunities and challenges Work with category leaders across Amazon.tr to amplify product launches and shopping events Align with the Public Policy team on reputation management initiatives Lead the planning and execution of proactive communications campaigns Oversee agency relationships and deliverables for ongoing projects Monitor and optimize campaign performance through data-driven insights Manage communications budgets and resource allocation Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts Develop compelling narratives that showcase Amazon's customer obsession Create strategic press materials and manage media inquiries Monitor news landscape and identify proactive storytelling opportunities Lead crisis communications response and mitigation strategies Monitor potential reputational risks and develop response plans Prepare executives for media interactions and public speaking opportunities Track and analyze communications KPIs Prepare regular reports on campaign effectiveness Measure impact on brand reputation and business objectives Share best practices and learnings with global communications teams About the team At Amazon Turkey Communications, we're more than just a communications team - we're innovators, storytellers, and strategic thinkers who are shaping the future of integrated communications. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field • Strong experience in communications, with a background in both corporate and marketing communications • Proven track record of developing and executing integrated communications campaigns • Experience in developing and executing creative brand narratives and challenger brand strategies, either in start-up environments or within established multinational companies" • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Turkish and English • Strong media relations skills and established network of media contacts • Experience in crisis communications and issues management • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree in a related field • Expertise in digital and social media communications • Experience managing and developing a team and multiple agencies • Knowledge of the Turkish media landscape and consumer behavior • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment • Experience with data-driven communications strategies and measurement Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
