THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Intern for the Communications team, you will drive brand visibility, increase cultural relevance and build brand love internally and externally by supporting our enterprise communications efforts. You’ll learn how to draft press releases and internal communications for company announcements, create interview briefing documents, messages and video scripts for executives, build media lists, monitor coverage, develop industry intelligence reports, support event logistics and content operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Content and editorial
Collaborate with cross-functional partners and subject matter experts to develop and execute internal communication campaigns/plans with consistent messaging across the organization.
Write and develop compelling messages on a variety of topics through press releases, media pitches, emails, articles, video scripts, flyers and other communication channels while maintaining our brand voice, tone and values.
Draft background briefing materials for executive interviews.
Support the team with media list development and reporting for new restaurant opening public relations.
Support development of daily brand and competitive intelligence newsletter (Daily Bites).
Help manage the internal editorial calendar and align content with business-related activities, milestones and events.
Events and experiences
Support planning and execution of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events (town hall meetings, team huddles, Employee Resource Group activations, etc.)
Support event logistics: Invites/RSVPs, registration, agendas, signage and vendor communication.
Project operations
Maintain shared calendars, timelines, and project trackers.
Assist with budgets (quotes, POs, reconciliations) and vendor management.
Document processes and contribute to playbooks, templates and post-mortems.
Cross-functional collaboration
Partner with Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, IT, Food Safety, Training, Legal and other business leaders and departments to ensure messages and events are accurate, inclusive, and on brand.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Highly organized with an ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills; ability to adapt tone and simplify complex topics.
Strong writing ability with knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style.
Proficient in Microsoft 365; PowerPoint/slides; Canva or Adobe Suite.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
Pay rate is $25 per hour, depending on skill level, experience, and/ or education. Compensation offered is also subject to local wage and hour laws.
