**Job Description**
**AECOM** is looking for a **Communications Coordinator** for its **Enterprise Capabilities (EC)** team. Reporting to the Communications Manager, this position can be based in Manchester or London and offers flexible work options for hybrid remote schedules. Occasional travel to the London office headquarters in Aldgate will be required.
**Enterprise Capabilities (EC)** is a business group within **AECOM** . Operating across geographic boundaries and time zones, EC partners with regional and Global Business Line project teams to provide technical expertise, accelerate delivery and keep AECOM competitive in the industry.
With over 3,600 technical professionals located across nine countries and 15 offices, EC teams are trusted to deliver high-quality, specialist services that help to fill capability gaps, resourcing needs, and technical constraints on projects of all scopes and sizes.
As a **Communications Coordinator** , you will support the day-to-day communications needs for the EC team, drafting internal communications, managing requests for communications support, and collecting stories on our projects and people that can be promoted across all internal channels.
The successful candidate will be a creative, reliable and enthusiastic team player who is excited about joining a global organization and supporting communications for a global audience.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:**
+ Create and distribute internal communications by building, targeting, testing, and issuing newsletters and messages using Poppulo.
+ Develop and manage internal content, applying strong editorial judgment to ensure clarity and engagement.
+ Maintain and enhance the company intranet, ensuring content is accurate, relevant, and continuously improved.
+ Oversee key communication channels across the organization, including manager-focused communications.
+ Research and develop internal stories by engaging with stakeholders and teams across the organization, then write, edit, and proofread articles that communicate key messages in a clear, compelling way.
+ Support the planning and delivery of internal communications campaigns by drafting content, coordinating with teams and ensuring timely execution across channels.
+ Support the delivery of internal events, including Town Halls and other employee engagement activities.
+ Ensure effective message reach, leveraging strategies to connect with target audiences.
+ Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to provide tailored communications support and guidance.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
Bachelor's degree in communications, English, marketing, journalism or related discipline plus up to two (2) years of professional, corporate communications-related experience, preferably in a global, multi-site company or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Strong written and oral communications skills, including copyediting
+ Ability to synthesize complex materials and to craft creative, persuasive language and compelling messaging for a variety of global audiences
+ Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of all work
+ Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and work effectively on a variety of projects concurrently in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
+ Proven ability to ensure accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of all work products
+ Self-starter capable of assuming responsibility for several tasks at once
+ Project management and organizational skills
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. SharePoint and Poppulo or other email newsletter platforms is preferred.
+ Detail oriented and passionate about delivering high-value work
+ Creative and resourceful, with a keen interest on driving best-in-class communications
+ A time management superstar - able to navigate competing priorities and multiple projects
+ A quick learner who embraces new technologies and platforms
+ A positive and enthusiastic team player
+ Demonstrate strong research skills to gather information and develop well informed, engaging content.
