The University of Virginia seeks a collaborative, creative, and detail-oriented professional to serve as Communications Coordinator for Enrollment’s Commonwealth Partnerships unit. Commonwealth Partnerships includes key programs – AdviseVA, All Virginia, and Community College Partnerships – which further Enrollment’s goals of:

Position Summary
This position, reporting to the Director of Enrollment Communications, will work with colleagues in Commonwealth Partnership programs and fellow Enrollment communicators to develop strategic and engaging multi-channel content, tailored for unique audiences, which helps advance the programs’ goals.
Responsibilities
Working as a member of the University Enrollment communications team to generate compelling marketing and communications efforts, with key responsibility for Commonwealth Partnerships communications.
Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and with a high degree of professionalism.
Drafting and editing a variety of written materials including newsletters, website content, and presentations
Developing content for social media accounts and managing posting, monitoring, responding, and analytics gathering.
Monitoring trends in higher education access and success in research and communications.
Participate in organizational meetings and assist in the development of Commonwealth Partnerships goals and strategies
In coordination with program leaders and the Director of Enrollment Communications, implement communication strategy informed by strategic planning
Creating and coordinating standard reporting and analytics for communication initiatives to measure success.
Monitoring messages and triaging responses for individual program email inboxes.
Providing ad-hoc communications problem-solving and support for day-to-day team needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience required.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen understanding of grammar rules and excellent proofreading skills.
Proven success working effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple offices, departments, or units.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges, problem-solve proactively, and manage multiple communications priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Canva.
Experience working in postsecondary access, K-12 or higher education, counseling, marketing, communications, or non-profit settings.
Physical Demands
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
Salary Range
The anticipated hiring range is $50,000–$60,000, commensurate with education and experience.

This is a restricted position, which is dependent on funding and is contingent upon funding availability.
This position is based in Charlottesville, VA, and is eligible for a hybrid schedule, in accordance with UVA’s remote work guidelines.
