Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: + Act as the central communication hub for the Security Operations Center + Dispatch Protective Services in response to calls and incidents + Monitor radio traffic and track real-time status updates + Respond to and document routine and emergency calls from team members, visitors, patients, and Public Safety personnel + Understand and apply Public Safety protocols, policies, and applications + Maintain thorough knowledge of all Novant Health facilities and Department of Public Safety (DPS) program Qualifications + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Some College Courses, preferred. + Experience: Satisfactory experience as a Communications Technician, Emergency Telecommunications Specialist, Dispatcher, - Preferred Related experience will be considered. + Licensure/Certification: Crisis Prevention Institute Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Crisis Communications, or CIT within 1 year of hire; APCO Public Safety Tele-communicator I and RQI Responder certified within 6 months of hire, required. + Additional Skills (required): DPS, Security, law enforcement or military communications experience.
