The opportunity:

Are you passionate about storytelling, employee engagement, and bringing communications to life? We’re looking for a dynamic communicator to support our Manager, Communications in delivering our Corporate Affairs & Communications strategy. In this role, you’ll create engaging content and help design meaningful activities and events that connect and inspire our people. Key responsibilities include:

Support the Manager, Communications in delivering the Corporate Affairs & Communications plan.

Advise on internal communications for key business projects.

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Create and deliver engaging internal communications content and events, including:

Weekly staff newsletter (Te Pānui)

Executive talking points for weekly ExCo huddles

News updates on the Hive

Corporate communications and presentations

Agendas and presentations for Town Halls and staff events

Internal communications calendar management

Team and project communications support

Develop external communications content and activities, including:

Media reports and stakeholder presentations

Draft media statements, LinkedIn posts, and supporting documents

Collaborate with PR & GR agencies to align and deliver communications plans

Ideally, you’ll bring:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience building relationships across different levels and audiences.

Ability to collaborate and find solutions that meet business needs.

Skill in turning complex information into clear, engaging content.

Strong time management and ability to juggle multiple priorities.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a complex industry.

Confidence working independently and navigating ambiguity.

Professionalism, discretion and reliability.

Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, business, or similar (preferred).

Experience in communications or a related field (preferred).

Understanding of communications principles; experience in financial or professional services is a plus.
