Knowledge of advertising through social channels and principles of SEO, including keyword researchFamiliarity with AP style and development of digital and traditional marketing collateralUnderstanding of electronic and print communication processes and organizational communication theoriesExperience with brand messaging, social media strategy, and video productionStrong project management and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiativesAdvanced written and verbal communication skills, including writing for online and print publicationsDemonstrated creativity and immersion in social media platformsAbility to work independently, lead projects, and build relationships across teamsStrong interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate with all levels of the organizationHighly developed writing and editing skills with attention to detail and deadline sensitivityProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other basic software applicationsAbility to articulate messages clearly across all media formatsSelf-starter and team player with a passion for collaboration and continuous improvementExperience:
Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, mass communications, public relations, or a related field required

The Communication Specialist III is a versatile writer and editor who creates engaging content that connects with customers, dealers, and employees. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the company to develop strategic, multi-channel campaigns and craft compelling messages that inspire action. From websites and social media to video scripts and internal communications, you’ll bring the GM Financial brand voice to life across a wide range of formats.
In this role you will:
Write and edit engaging B2B and B2C content aligned with strategic communication goalsManage multiple deadline-driven projects from concept through approvals and executionDevelop new ideas to support and enhance the department’s content strategyCollaborate with internal departments and act as a communication liaison across the companyIdentify key messages and create content that promotes a best-in-class customer experienceTrack, measure, and optimize communication efforts to improve engagement and outcomesProvide grammar, editing, and marketing support to other departments as neededAssist with marketing events and initiatives as requiredPromote a collaborative and creative culture through teamwork and idea sharing
