**Job Title:** Commodity Tax Advisor **Location:** Calgary, AB Our client is seeking a Commodity Tax Advisor to join their team. As a Commodity Tax Advisor, you will be part of the tax compliance team supporting various internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Description:** + Preparation and filing of commodity tax returns including those for fuel tax, excise tax, sales tax, and GST/HST, among others. + Provision of commodity tax advice to internal stakeholders. + Support commodity tax team members to administer compliance activities. + Respond to regulatory audit inquiries including data extraction. + Work collaboratively with various teams to ensure compliance with commodity tax regulations. **Qualifications:** + Post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. + Two years of Canadian commodity tax compliance experience. + Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel. + Experience with SAP, including S4 HANA, is desirable. + Familiarity with Power Platform tools (i.e., Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Query) is a plus. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. + Gain exposure to a wide range of commodity tax issues. + Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals. + Develop your skills in a supportive and inclusive workplace. + Contribute to important compliance activities that impact the organization.
