Designs, implements, and administers commodity acquisition strategy. Includes procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability.
Develops negotiation strategies to create a win-win relationship between the company and suppliers.
Assists in identifying new, high potential suppliers on a global basis.
Frequently interacts with peers and customers to gain cooperation of others or conduct presentations of complex technical information/project activities.
Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires and in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Establishes operational objectives and work plans.
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other employees.
