Role Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, innovative and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our Electronics Commodities Sourcing team and drive the negotiation, and supplier management activities across one of our key spend categories.
This role is pivotal in driving cost efficiencies, supplier performance, and risk mitigation while aligning procurement strategies with business objectives and compliance.
Skills and Experience
Experience in Supply Chain, Subcontract Management, Procurement and Electronics Commodity and/or related field in a complex manufacturing environmentAbility & Experience to lead a small team with measurable contribution towards the achievement of goals of the Commodity Area.Negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills that addresses supplier non-performance and dispute resolution.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with product development and operational needs.Able to build strong supplier relationships to foster innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement.Experience with executing and managing Agreements that ensure compliance with US DoD (FAR/DFAR) and other Governmental regulationsKnowledge of import/export legislation requirements (ITAR/EAR/UK Export Control)Desirable
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of global supply markets.Process improvement tools and initiatives that drive efficiencyRelated MCIPS/BA/MBA or equivalent.Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the Commodity team by setting objectives and goals, coaching and developing talent to enable a high performing team that meet all required business and functional goals and metrics.Implement and manage a strategy to ensure a resilient Electronics supply chain, based on market trends, cost drivers, and risk analysis that can withstand, recover from, and adapt to lower tier and geopolitical disruptions and maintain operational continuity.Ensure competitive bidding practices are employed to support preferred supplier selections.Participate and finalise supplier agreement negotiations and be the main escalation point for your team to resolve significant relationship and contractual issuesUnderstand and utilise contractual terms to impact the business favourablyCollaborate with legal and finance teams to manage contracts and risk exposureIdentify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.Undertake and/or support Supplier Scorecard and Quality assessmentsAnalyse spend data and identify opportunities for consolidation and cost reduction.Track supplier performance using KPIs such as cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness.Leverage RTX and Raytheon UK business agreements to drive organisational value and develop win-win solutions with suppliers. Influence multi-disciplinary teams and develop strong, positive partnerships to achieve measurable operational targetsDrive continuous improvements into the organisation utilising continuous improvement toolsInitiate and manage cost savings projects to achieve financial plan targets and supplier performanceEnsure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.#LI-MF1
