Commodity Manager
Title: Commodity Manager Description The Commodity Manager will be responsible for managing executive-level supplier relationships and serving as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners. This position requires a strong background in electronic components, strategic sourcing, and cross-functional collaboration. This role plays a critical part in developing and executing commodity strategies that strengthen the supply chain, reduce risk, and support evolving business needs. Key Responsibilities + Strategic Commodity Planning - Develop and execute commodity strategies that enhance operational flexibility, supply continuity, and overall profitability. + Supplier Strategy & Risk Management - Build and maintain a high-performing supply base by improving delivery performance, mitigating supply risk, and executing effective sourcing strategies. + Supplier Selection & Development - Select, manage, and develop key electronic component suppliers to ensure alignment with business, quality, and performance expectations. + Engineering Collaboration -Partner closely with engineering and product development teams to align commodity strategies with short term and long term product roadmaps. + Cost & Capacity Optimization - Drive cost reduction and capacity strategies through value analysis, inventory optimization, and supply planning initiatives. + Supplier Relationship Management - Establish and maintain strong executive level relationships with strategic suppliers. + Benchmarking & Continuous Improvement - Regularly benchmark supplier performance to ensure best in class commodity management practices. + Issue Resolution & Problem Solving - Proactively address supply chain challenges, including logistics constraints, material availability, and supplier capability gaps. + Performance Monitoring - Ensure suppliers consistently meet agreed upon service levels, quality standards, and delivery commitments. + New Product Introduction Support - Support new product teams by facilitating supplier engagement and aligning component capabilities with product and technology requirements. + Forecasting & Supply Alignment - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate demand forecasting and alignment with supplier capacity and production plans. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $165000.00/yr.
