**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be**
1. Develop and implement Electronics supply chain strategies to meet manufacturing needs and business objectives.
2. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of global industry activity through close working relationships with suppliers, trade organizations, and market trends.
3. Participate with other WA Commodity Team in developing a comprehensive commodity strategy for review and approval with Senior Management. This review will include: -Understanding the needs and objectives of the sites/WA/Business Unit.-Establishing commodity strategies to manage growth and risk within the supply chain.-Evaluating and selecting sources for Electronics Components.-Identify, coordinate, and track implementation of e-sourcing events.-Completing contract negotiations and quantifying benefits.
4. Negotiate and implement strategic initiatives for material sourcing and pricing strategies. o Identify, evaluate, select, and qualify new suppliers.-Work closely with Global Supplier Quality/Site Quality for tryout part evaluation.-Work with manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers to phase in new suppliers for production volume.
5. Ensure relationship development and management with key supplier.
6. Identify and implement cost containment/reduction opportunities.
7. Leverage Commodity & Supplier data analysis.
8. Alternate sourcing, design improvements, part standardization, supplier consolidation, LTA, etc.
9. Perform value analysis on total logistic cost and improve on it.
10. Manage supplier performance:
11. Develop structured process with supplier to set and monitor KPI.
12. Develop supplier plans/goals that drive continuous improvement in manufacturing process, inventory and capacity planning.
13. Technology development.
14. Develop and benchmark best practices among suppliers.
15. Travel to suppliers for Business Reviews, Relationship Building and Issues resolution.
16. Develop Project Plans, coordinate activities and hold cross functional partners accountable to execute plans.
17. Manage several sourcing projects concurrently in a dynamic environment, drive & execute annual & strategic plans.
18. Where applicable, management / leadership skills to managing Senior Supplier Performance Engineer / Senior Commodity Engineer.
19. Adhere to Emerson’s Code of Conduct and Corp GSC / FCV GSC’s guidelines.
20. Adhere to Emerson’s values and Supply Chain policies.
21. Complete any other tasks assigned by line manager.

**For This Role, You Will Need**
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related discipline, with minimum 8 years relevant experience.
2. Strong technical background in manufacturing and sourcing experience.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the necessary skills to effectively utilize technology and systems specific to the department required.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Strong understanding of direct material use, cost control and negotiation.
