Position Summary
The Commissions Specialist will provide in-depth support and program administration for Life Times variable compensation plans. This role will support the daily activities of assisting with the weekly processing and auditing of the variable compensation calculations, audits and responding to Tier 1 and 2 tickets.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in the administration of the weekly commission calculations in accordance with incentive plans for the various Life Time eligible roles.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise and participate in determining resolution.
• Addresses and resolves Tier 1 and 2 variable compensation tickets providing timely resolution and clear responses.
• Assist the Variable Compensation data team in building and testing any new variable compensation functionality as defined by the business’s needs to ensure that team members are paid timely and accurately.
• Participate in user testing to validate that any changes are completed and that any downstream impacts are identified and resolved prior to implementing the change into production.
• Participate in special projects and provide support as needed to meet business objectives.
• Assists with training team members and businesses on variable compensation policies and procedures - this includes creating team member facing training and documentation within LT Central as well as assist in creating policies and procedures as new needs are identified
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources or a related field
• 1 to 2 years of related work experience
• Knowledge of variable compensation or commission plans
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality while working with compensation information
• Organize, prioritize and carry out duties efficiently and within established timeframes
• Ability to work well with a team
• Develop a core knowledge base of fundamental variable compensation terminology
Preferred Requirements
• Experience with Varicent, or other SPM technology such as Xactly, Spiff, etc.
• 0-6 months of compensation experience
• Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment that is always changing and evolving
