Commissioning Specialist (Compressor) I, II & III

Our client is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to work within their facilities located in Midland, Texas on a 12-month assignment (with possibility of extension / becoming permanent).
Role Overview Commission & Decommission Conventional / High Pressure Compressors Coordinate pressure tests and put new units online Inspect new builds & expansions during the construction process. Final inspections and PSSRs Learn daily gas compressor and compressor facility operations. Good housekeeping. Handle on call duties, drive company vehicle to locations. Work is performed in learning mode. Learn appropriate tools to use, identify, diagnose and repair/replace equipment. Basic trouble shooting. Maintain up-to-date reporting of facility operations and be responsible for all the aspects required for the JBPE. Daily interaction with Foremen, Compressor Operators, Mechanics, Lease Operators. Occasionally works side-by-side with contractors. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, to include special projects. Skills & Qualifications Prior compressor gas lift operations preferred (high pressure gas lift). Mechanical or oilfield related experience required - 2.5 yrs. Knowledgeable on ancillary compressor equipment including fuel gas skids and engines for gas driven machines and medium voltage transformers/VFDs/motors for electric machines. Knowledgeable on common automation/control equipment related to gas compression. Prior mechanical and/or oil field experience. A current valid vehicle operator’s license with an insurable driving record is required. Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent certification required.
Work Schedule: 8/6 schedule – 10-hour shifts.
