Commissioning Mechanical Specialist

Airswift is seeking for a Commissioning Mechanical Specialist to work with our client based in Qatar.
Job Purpose
Responsible for managing mechanical commissioning during preparation and execution stage of Offshore Project to ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule.
Key Accountabilities
Manage all execution of mechanical commissioning activities to achieve commissioning schedule on target with all safety requirements especially during SIMOPS and co-activities. Lead the execution for mechanical commissioning activities at site (onshore/ offshore) ensuring alignment with targets defined by Project Management. Review and approval of Operational Test Procedures. Ensure the test pack (N2/He leak test and HOF) are fully documented and well executed. Monitor and review the pre-com of critical safety valves (pre installation leak test performance). Ensure all mechanical SECEs are delivered in accordance with performance standards (lifeboat, cranes, safety valves etc). Make sure that the required commissioning mechanical spare parts and special tools are available and ready to use. Review all commissioning changes, including justification for cost and schedule impacts, in accordance with the PMOC procedure. Ensure the readiness of certificate for mechanical SECE packages (cranes, lifeboat, monorail etc). Manage system completion, walkdowns, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for mechanical systems. Qualifications and Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences or engineering. 8 years’ experience with medium-to-large-project commissioning in the Oil and Gas industry. Expert in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures. Knowledge in compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards, and contract technical specification compliance. Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc. Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc. Experiences for managing commissioning execution and performing OTPs of all offshore critical mechanical equipment such as cranes, monorails, lifeboats etc. Familiar with LOTO procedures. Experience of handling EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors. Application and in-depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards. Experience in start-up support to Operation. Experience in offshore environment is a plus
