As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, **FieldCore** installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy. **Job Summary** The Commissioning Engineer will complete the installation and commissioning of the Gas Engine at customer sites. As the key technical lead for problem solving on the engine at the customer site, the role will be the first line of contact with the customer for problems solving and learning. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities:** + Be responsible for the commissioning of Gas Engines at customer site locations + Provide assistance to customers, operating staff and other GE field personnel on the installation + Perform troubleshooting activities on site to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution and implement corrective actions + Resolve technical issues, foster knowledge sharing and help others + Explain technical issues in a concise way + Act as interface between customer, channel partner + Provide external and internal reports in a timely, accurate, and professional manner + Identify and report all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the organization + Build a strong customer relationship through a positive, proactive & professional approach + Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they’re calibration + Prove a strong safety mindset to ensure the executed work reflects the technical requirements along with the safety standards + Perform other duties as assigned + Travel may be required + Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments **Required Qualifications & Experience** : + Degree in an electrical technical discipline such as automotive, electrical, or other related discipline (High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a field service role with reciprocating engines) + Minimum of 5 years of field service experience in servicing or commissioning large industrial reciprocating engines + Experience working on Jenbacher or Waukesha product lines and troubleshooting the controls/electrical systems on engines + Authorized for working on electrical equipment (minimum 1000V), proof necessary (-for Europe only) + Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an understandable manner + Professional knowledge of control technologies and (SPS) programming + Strong customer orientation and ability to deliver consistently a high level of performance + Fluent in English **Desired Characteristics:** + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work under stressful working conditions + Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts and provide training to platform personnel + Strong computer skills using MS Office software + Demonstrate authority and assurance in dealing with people + Ability to meet and maintain insurability standards to drive a company vehicle + Possess a valid driver's license _FieldCore is an equal employment opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, status as a qualified individual with a disability, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, ancestry, genetic information, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law_
