Commissioning Coordinator (FIFO 2:1)
Location: FIFO from Eastern States
Indicative assignment length: 4-month contract
The role
We’re looking for an experienced Commissioning Coordinator to join a major site-based resources project on a 2:1 FIFO roster. This is a contract role running through to October 2025, ideal for professionals with a background in large-scale industrial or mining projects.
You’ll be joining a high-performing team responsible for safely delivering commissioning and start-up activities on a complex processing facility. Candidates from NSW, VIC, or QLD with strong commissioning, completions, and operational readiness experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities Lead site-based commissioning and start-up activities across multiple systems Oversee development and execution of the Commissioning Management Plan Support setup and deployment of Completions Management Systems (CMS) Coordinate with construction, vendors, and site contractors to meet safety and schedule targets Ensure systemisation and alignment with AWP (Advanced Work Packaging) methodologies Identify and address design gaps impacting operability or safety
What you'll need to succeed 15+ years' experience in commissioning, completions, or operational readiness Strong background in mining, heavy industrial, or processing facilities Proven leadership in site execution, with a focus on safety and systems integration Skilled in managing interfaces with vendors, contractors, and engineering teams Familiarity with CMS tools, AWP strategies, and data-centric completions systems Relevant engineering qualification or extensive industry experience Experience in materials handling or mineral processing is highly regarded.
