Job Description

Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort are looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team on a casual basis.

This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen, assisting with the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, and helping deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes across all sections of the kitchen.Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations.Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.Take initiative to develop culinary skills and grow within a professional kitchen environment.Support less experienced team members when required.

Shift Details (subject to change):

Rotating roster across Monday through to SundaySplit shifts may be required on some days

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $35.15 per hour
Saturday: $42.18 per hour
Sunday: $49.21 per hour

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

Relevant Certificate III in Cookery and previous experience in a similar role.Knowledge of Modern Australian Cuisine.Understanding of HACCP and Workplace Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements.Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic team environment.Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including weekends.Ability to coach and motivate less experienced kitchen team members.Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
