Commis Chef – Pastry

We are looking for a passionate Commis Chef – Pastry to support the opening of Hyatt Place AlUla.

Hyatt Place AlUla represents a significant milestone in Hyatt’s expansion across the region and will feature 215 guestrooms, two food and beverage outlets, meeting space, swimming pool and a fitness center appealing to both leisure and business travelers.

Your Role

As the Commis Chef – Pastry, you’ll support the pastry kitchen in the preparation and production of desserts, baked goods, and pastries while maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked goods as per standard recipes

· Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards of all pastry items

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section and workstations

· Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times

· Assist in storing, labeling, and rotating pastry ingredients and supplies properly

· Support the preparation of buffets, banquets, and special event desserts when required

· Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues

· Minimize waste and support cost control practices within the pastry section

· Support pre-opening pastry setup and kitchen readiness
