We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis, you will support senior chefs in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food, eager to learn, and ready to grow their culinary skills in a professional kitchen environment. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY: + Assist with the preparation of ingredients and basic cooking tasks under the supervision of senior chefs. + Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment. + Prepare mise-en-place for daily service across different kitchen sections (hot, cold, pastry, etc.). + Follow recipes and guidelines accurately to ensure consistent food quality and presentation. + Ensure proper storage and labeling of all food items and ingredients. + Adhere to hygiene and safety standards at all times (HACCP or equivalent). + Help with receiving and storing deliveries in line with FIFO procedures. + Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations. + Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Culinary certification or diploma from a recognized institution is preferred. + Previous kitchen experience or internship is an advantage but not mandatory. + Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, cooking techniques, and food safety. + Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within the culinary team. + Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. + Flexible with shifts, including weekends and holidays.
