Aston Carter is partnering with a client in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago to identify a Commercialization Coordinator to support their Commercialization Department during a critical ERP transition.
About the RoleThe Commercialization Coordinator will support the Commercialization Department under the direction of the Director of Commercialization. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing commercialization activities across the entire operation, working closely with cross-functional internal teams, manufacturing facilities, and customers to ensure new products move from concept through shipment efficiently and on schedule.
This is a highly collaborative, project-driven role that requires strong organizational skills, cross-functional communication, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage cross-functional teams to evaluate scope, timelines, risks, and potential roadblocks for new commercialization projectsCoordinate and manage the commercialization process from project initiation through first shipment in partnership with customersDevelop a strong understanding of internal department roles, manufacturing processes, packaging formats, and core beverage conceptsWork closely with manufacturing facilities and supply chain partners to drive efficiency and successful executionMonitor and manage the pipeline of new commercialization projects, ensuring milestones are met and next steps are completed on timeFacilitate communication between manufacturing facilities and internal stakeholders including R&D, sales, finance, and technical servicesManage and review New Product Process (NPP) and commercialization checklistsPartner with Key Account Managers (KAMs) to ensure accurate and timely information flow to customersOrganize and lead project meetings to keep teams aligned and projects on trackTravel to manufacturing facilities as needed to support and oversee commercial production runsDevelop and document procedures and policies to bring structure and clarity to the commercialization processQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience3–5+ years of experience in commercialization, project management, operations, manufacturing, or a CPG environmentProven experience managing cross-functional projects from concept through launchStrong project management, organizational, and prioritization skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external customersAbility to identify risks, resolve issues, and keep projects moving forwardProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project tracking toolsWillingness to travel to manufacturing facilities as neededPreferredExperience in beverage, food, or CPG manufacturingFamiliarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) or Stage-Gate processesWorking knowledge of manufacturing processes, packaging formats, and supply chain operationsExperience helping define or improve commercialization processesWhy This Opportunity?Immediate impact role supporting a critical ERP transitionExposure to end-to-end commercialization within a growing manufacturing organizationOpportunity to collaborate cross-functionally and build hands-on project leadership experienceCompetitive hourly pay and a consistent work scheduleThis search is being led by Aston Carter.
