Key Details:
Hybrid Program: This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida. Students must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week. While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Relocation Support: Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer.
Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred for the program.
Technical Requirements: Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely.

Department Summary
The Service Call Analytics team within Commercial Operations is responsible for analyzing guest service interactions to uncover insights that drive operational efficiency and improve the guest experience. Our mission is to reduce friction in the guest journey by identifying opportunities to enhance self-service capabilities and minimize call volume. We support strategic decision-making by providing data-driven recommendations that align with Carnival’s commitment to exceptional service.
Internship Project Summary
Project Title: Self-Service Opportunity Assessment through Call Analytics
Objective: The intern will analyze service call data to identify high-volume call drivers and quantify the potential impact of shifting these interactions to self-service channels.
Impact: This project will directly support Carnival’s digital transformation efforts by helping prioritize enhancements to self-service tools, ultimately improving guest satisfaction and reducing operational costs.
Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities)
Analyze call volume trends and categorize call types using structured and unstructured data.
Identify recurring service issues that could be addressed through digital self-service solutions.
Quantify potential call deflection opportunities and estimate cost savings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., BI, Guest Services, IT) to validate findings and propose solutions.
Prepare and present findings and recommendations to department leadership.
Learning Outcomes
