**Description:**
The Commercial Performance RVP Classics, Essentials, HIC for GREATER CHINA is a senior regional role responsible for driving the commercial performance and achieving all key performance indicators (KPIs) for hotels within the Classics, Essentials, HIC brand groups across Greater China.
This position serves as a strategic business partner, working closely with brand leader, revenue management, and operations to ensure each property delivers on commercial objectives, brand standards, and market leadership. This role is ideal for a strategic, commercially savvy leader passionate about elevating brand performance and delivering commercial excellence across a diverse and dynamic hotel portfolio
The role will report to the VP Commercial Performance, Greater China and directly support the Managing Director of Classics, Essentials, HIC for Greater China in the operations division, ensuring seamless integration of commercial strategies and operational excellence. The position also partners closely with the Revenue Director for the same portfolio to optimize hotel performance and maximize profitability.
· Serve as the principal commercial partner for all Classics (except Grand Hyat), Essentials and HIC Hyatt hotels in the Greater China sub-region, accountable for driving performance across revenue, market share, distribution, sales, and other commercial KPIs.
· Support the Managing Director, Classics, Essentials and HIC Hotels for Greater China in operations, ensuring commercial priorities are embedded in operational plans and hotel leadership is equipped to deliver against targets.
· Analyze business performance, market trends, and competitive landscape to provide actionable insights and recommendations for revenue optimization, sales effectiveness, and market positioning.
· Lead and facilitate commercial performance reviews, business planning, and regular KPI tracking for assigned hotels, ensuring timely identification of risks and opportunities.
· Partner with hotel GMs, commercial teams, and regional leaders to implement best practices in revenue management, sales, distribution, and digital marketing.
· Ensure effective deployment and utilization of commercial systems, tools, and processes, driving adoption of data-driven decision-making and commercial excellence.
· Coordinate with regional and global commercial services teams to roll out new initiatives, tools, and training, ensuring alignment with global standards and local market needs.
· Act as a key liaison between brand, commercial, and operations teams, fostering strong communication, collaboration, and a culture of high performance.
· Support new hotel openings, transitions, and conversions within the brand groups, ensuring all commercial requirements are met for a successful launch.
· Collaborate closely with Brand Leaders (Classics, Essentials and HIC) and the Revenue Management Director for Classics, Essentials and HIC, Greater China to align and execute brand and commercial strategies tailored to each property and market.
**Qualifications:**
· 10 years of progressive experience in hotel commercial roles (revenue management, sales, distribution, or related), with at least 3 years in a regional or multi-property capacity.
· Deep knowledge of Classics and Essentials hotel brands, with proven experience driving commercial results in these segments.
· Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business data, generate insights, and translate them into effective commercial strategies.
· Experience working cross-functionally with brand, commercial, and operations leaders in a corporate or regional hospitality environment.
· Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
· Proficiency in commercial systems (PMS, CRS, RMS, CRM, BI tools) and data analytics.
· Results-driven, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
· Experience in the Greater China hospitality market strongly preferred.
Education and Expertise (i.e. certificates, licenses, etc.)
· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
· Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
