Job Title: Commercial Officer - Americas
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 in office days a week
Working Location: Reston, VA
The Commercial Officer role supports the management of commercial issues with customers across the Americas region. This involves providing commercial guidance and advice to the Americas regional team across a wide range of matters and directly managing various high value commercial tasks and issues.

What you will be doing:
Pursue all opportunities to maximize profit and cash for the company and:manage or support as appropriate the pricing/business cases to support these opportunitiesinstruct and administer new business agreements to fully secure these opportunities Negotiate the resolution of claims, disputes and litigation in order to minimize cost and risk to the Company via direct interaction with our customers across the Americas region. Help manage any potential market perception issuesManage any customer restructuring, rehabilitations and insolvencies through to conclusion and to provide the best possible outcome for the businessLead internal approval sessions relating to the issues being managed so that a timely response can be provided to customersIdentify potential risks and liabilities inherent in commercial solutions and/or existing contracts. Negotiate contracts or contract amendments to minimize or mitigate the same, using judgement in balancing commercial/legal considerations against the requirements of the businessInterface with specialist departments, as required, within the company to obtain advice and guidance. Evaluate and apply such advice and guidance as appropriateEnsure compliance with policies, procedures, guidelines and contracting framework in line with relevant governanceDeliver and support continuous improvement & commercial best practice activities for the business and General Counsel functionMaintain frequent and precise communications internally across all issues being managedWho we’re looking for:

Basic Requirements:
Associate degree 4+ years of Commercial or Aerospace experience, ORBachelor’s degree with 2+ years of Commercial or Aerospace experience, ORMaster’s degree, ORJD/PhD, OR6+ years of Commercial or Aerospace experience in lieu of a degreePreferred Requirements:
Well-developed interpersonal, diplomacy, communication, influencing and negotiations skillsAbility to solve complex problems while maintaining customer focusHighly motivated and capable of working under own initiativeSound Commercial judgement and business acumenProficient in all aspects of administrationAbility to prioritize workloads to meet demanding deadlinesExperience of influencing at all levels, internally and externallyWhat we offer:
