Job Summary:
Learning the meaning of the principles of insurance and applies to everyday situations. Individual contributor representing a step toward positions of more autonomy in account management; works under direct supervision. Performs more routine responsibilities and are primary points of contact for the clients they oversee. Supports and informs coverage strategy and plan. Work with simpler or less demanding clients. Required to have the necessary insurance license(s). Responsible for day-to-day servicing of existing accounts.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Assigned Accounts-including but not limited to:
Answer insured’s questions received via phone call or email
Process changes to the policy as requested by the insured according to agency procedure
Issue certificates of insurance as requested by insured and/or broker
Create billing activities for accounting. This function may involve reviewing the insured’s account, obtaining finance agreements and collect payment from the insured.
Monitor pending cancellations according to agency procedure.
Keep all information in agency management system accurate including driver/vehicles schedules
Activity all correspondence, email, phones calls, etc. in agency management system
Utilize suspense system for pending items
Provide back up for other agency service staff as needed
**These duties are not all inclusive and subject to updates and modification as deemed necessary by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: Three years insurance experience with an Ohio Property and Casualty license preferred
Knowledge: Microsoft Office, Applied EPIC
Skills: Organization, multi-tasking, work independently, team player
