Commercial Lines Account Associate, Financial Institutions
**About The Role** HUB International in Toronto, Ontario is currently looking for a strong Commercial Lines Account Associate to support our growing Commercial Financial Institutions Practice focused on an assigned commercial book of business with renewals throughout the year. This is an ideal role for individual interested in the investment business and specialty lines with strong customer delivery, organized and proactive. This role will work closely with the Assistant Vice President, Financial Institutions and work with clients at the CFO and CEO level. An ideal candidate for this position will be someone who prides themselves on their top notch client service. This role will be ideal for someone who is highly organized with strong analytical and communication skills, sense of urgency, and the ability to meet often tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will be able to think on their feet and come up with creative solutions to coverage problems and have a strong client service focus. **What You’ll Do** + Effective communication with large asset management clients and multinational companies. + Respond to third party information requests, (i.e. auditors, OSC and other regulatory requests etc.) + Day to day activities for clients and prospects + Execution of insurance certificates, leasing confirmations, auto liability slips, binders, statement of values, proposals, and processing of client documents (endorsements and policies) within timelines aligned with established service standards + Calculating provincial taxes, preparing premium finance quotes etc. + Ensure the timely issuance of submissions, binders, summaries, policies + Detailed policy proofing and fact checking of legal contracts + Client invoicing + Maintaining effective abeyance system aligned with established service standards + Setting up clients and prospects into Epic brokerage management system + Loading Policy and Underwriting Information into Epic + Updating rate/premium histories and premium comparisons; calculation of PST, Invoicing, processing of journal entries, execution of premium finance forms, collection of aged receivables, as required, and correction of commission differences + Maintain/Update Summary of Insurance (update as policy changes occur and at renewal) + Answering client queries, communicating with insurance companies + Input claims in broker management system + Update claims history on summaries + Research or project requests + Provide assistance where required and perform all other duties as assigned **Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success** + RIBO Licensed or able to obtain in short order + Canadian Securities Course (CSC) an asset + Administrative experience within legal or accounting department an asset + Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook + Experience on Epic or similar insurance broker management systems an asset + Strong organizational, time and client management skills + Effective communication skills: verbal and written + Strong team player + Proactive and customer focused approach + Strong initiative and follow up skills **Elevate Your Career with HUB International** Choosing HUB International means aligning your career with the premier insurance brokerage in Canada and the fifth-largest global insurance and employee benefits broker worldwide.
