What you'll do
You will be at the forefront of shaping the financial success of this newest business area. Serving as a trusted Finance Business Partner to the Marketplace leadership team, you will provide commercial insights and actionable recommendations to senior leaders, supporting the delivery of strategic and financial plans. Your responsibilities will include designing and embedding robust financial processes and reporting, driving accurate forecasting and planning, identifying risks and opportunities, and translating complex data into clear insights that influence decision-making and enhance performance across sales, operating profit, and customer satisfaction. Your role will involve owning the modelling of profitability for new propositions and features, engaging with Data & Analytics for internal reporting enhancements, and building an external perspective to influence business strategies. Your professional qualifications, commercial acumen, communication skills, and ability to make decisions impacting the Marketplace P&L will be key in driving the financial and commercial success of the Argos Marketplace.

Essential Criteria
Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) Demonstrable experience business partnering with commercial teams, ideally within the FMCG industry Demonstrable experience applying commercial and financial insight to support decision‑making and improve financial or business performance Proven ability to communicate financial information and influence decisions with senior or non‑financial stakeholders Evidence of maintaining effective financial controls, including ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial data Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced or ambiguous environment, including prioritising workloads, analysing data to identify insights, and simplifying complex information#LI-CE1
