Commercial Excellence Senior Analyst

Opportunity Summary: The Commercial Excellence Senior Analyst provides regular and ad hoc reporting, analysis, and presentation of critical customer and internal information for the sales leadership and executive team.  

This position is based at a Smurfit Westrock home office location (Atlanta GA or Richmond VA).

The primary focus for the Commercial Excellence Senior Analyst is to understand business challenges to analyze complicated information and provide recommendations.  This requires cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders in Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Strategy, Accounting, and others to identify the data analytics and metrics needed to drive commercial excellence, customer satisfaction, and enable leadership decision making.  High-quality, data-driven analytics are required along with the ability to create executive level presentation material.  The ideal candidate should have the knack for seeing solutions in disparate data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into recommendations and/or clear, executive level presentations.

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

Manage and publish daily invoice tracking to forecast for the paperboard sales teamsMonitor the “Always On” customer satisfaction tool (CSAT).  Call attention to highs and lows and identify trends and opportunities.Provide regular visibility to credit limits, open receivables, and customer payment behavior for the commercial teams to enable faster resolution of credit issues and invoice concerns for and to provide a better experience for our customersCreate comprehensive customer presentations for priority customers for both internal use and customer-facing meetingsDetermine how AI should be used by the commercial teams to create efficienciesCreate ad hoc reporting as required to support the business leaders and sales teamsIdentify and implement solutions to remove barriers from the selling process Using Smurfit Westrock’s analytical suite of toolsDrive consistency in sales team usage of the CRM tool including opportunity maintenance and value-added services reporting

What you need to succeed:

Experience providing analysis and presentations to senior business leadersReporting and analytical experience providing reporting from multiple data sources (QlikSense, Power BI, and Alteryx experience preferred)Ability to translate business requirements into program logic and automated toolsThe ability to analyze large data sets and draw conclusions, analyze risks, and recommend potential actions for complex business scenariosStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build presentation information suitable to be shared with all levels both internally and externallyCapability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audienceA focus on providing the best possible experience for Smurfit Westrock’s customers by supporting our customer-facing teamsDemonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across the organizationSupply chain experience and knowledge is a plus to ensure an understanding of the dataBachelor's degree and previous analytical work experience required Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
