Commercial Excellence Director, APAC
**Abbott Molecular is committed to advancing molecular testing solutions that support earlier disease diagnosis, guide therapy selection, and monitor disease recurrence—helping inform life’s most critical decisions** **Primary Function** Responsible as Commercial Excellence Director APAC and APAC management team for providing tools and analysis which support business analysis and strategic direction on important programs such as + Economic Profitability + Integrated Business Planning + Pricing management and monitoring + Contract and tender management + Sales Force effectiveness-Aspen and Domo + Distributor Management + Ad Hoc business analysis needs **Major Responsibilities** + Manages and leads the business unit, supports the affiliates commercial organization in growing the molecular diagnostics business and be involved in marketing and business development to identify new product and market opportunities within molecular diagnostics existing businesses in a certain geographic area. + Responsible for development and execution of commercial strategies and tactics for the business unit throughout a certain geography. + Identification of new business opportunities through expansion of existing products to maximize existing markets. + Support Commercial organizations incl. Marketing, Sales and Service in achieving plan/update objectives. + Regularly interfaces with the country sales and marketing organization proactively communication and coordinating efforts, e.g. studies, internal meetings, symposiums, customer meetings and trade shows aimed at growing sales and profitability. + Economic Profitability-development and rollout of Economic Profit initiatives in APAC, provide support to APAC management as well as countries with Economic Profit related queries. + Monitor progress and development for all countries in APAC> Assist countries by identifying appropriate opportunities for Economic Profit improvement in each country and assisting with implementation and monitoring. + Integrated Business Planning-Commercial Excellence Director works with commercial analyst and financial controller with setting up and running of IBP reviews monthly, assist with data analysis and ensure follow up on information and understanding of APAC countries. + Ensure compliance to Division requirements for IBP and ensuring improving trends of all IBP metrics. + Assist with detailed analysis of problematic areas with sustainable improvement ideas. + Working together with Division and APAC Management-roll out a pricing standardization tool. + Assist with training and roll-out the tool to APAC countries. Continuously monitor the tool for improvement opportunities and implement based on management approval. + Product Launches-Develop new product commercial models and pricing. Work closely with Marketing to tie in with marketing strategy for the product. + Contract and tender management-Commercial Excellence Director must evaluate and develop a methodology or tool to support contract management as well as create a tender management tool allowing typical tender information to be easily and readily accessible and available with monitoring mechanisms to allow understanding of reasons for success and failure for APAC. + Sales Force Effectiveness: Aspen and Domo-analysis of information from Aspen and Domo on a monthly basis to assist regional directors and countries to determine that time spent is on the right accounts, with the right contacts and with the right frequency. + Assist in determining key KPI’s to use to make the information easy to understand and follow but identify issues or concerns quickly. + Distributor Management - Driving distribution performance excellence through AMD’s business partners (distributors), assures compliance and conformance with policies and commercial strategies set by molecular diagnostics globally. + Ad-Hoc- support APAC management on ad-hoc tasks and projects as required **Requirements** + Degree in Business, Marketing, Technical or Science Discipline + The position requires an understanding of both the technology and capabilities of our products, the organization and how the functional areas work together, the needs of the customers we serve worldwide. + Must have demonstrated leadership capability and an understanding of the sales process for molecular diagnostics products. + Must have previous experience in sales, marketing, R&D or manufacturing. + Experience in finance would be a big advantage.
