Commercial Estimator

Our client is a full-service construction company specializing in commercial and infrastructure projects. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Estimator to join their team. This role is essential for ensuring accurate and timely project estimates. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of estimating fundamentals, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to contributing to their company’s success. This person will be able to cover for their Chief Estimator when needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing estimates for a range of commercial projects, typically ranging from under $500,000 to around $2-4 million. You will be expected to handle straightforward projects independently, including edits. The Estimator will also assist with larger projects, contributing to estimates for projects up to $10 million or above. You will report directly to the Chief Estimator and will collaborate with him and other team members throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Qualifications and Skills:
We are looking for a candidate with a firm understanding of estimating principles and the ability to independently estimate projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a General Contractor and a proven track record of success in estimating commercial projects. Strong communication skills are a must. A positive attitude, a solution-oriented approach, and a strong attention to detail are critical for success in this role. The ideal candidate will be motivated to identify and solve problems, consistently deliver high-quality work, and follow established processes.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial projects and further develop their estimating skills under the mentorship of an experienced Chief Estimator with potential for advancement within the company.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $120,000 annually, depending on experience. They offer a comprehensive benefits package.
