This role develops direct customer proposals and assists Distribution Partners by providing technical and application support, as well as establishing pricing based on the commercial context of each opportunity.
Your Responsibilities:
Contribute to the success of the business unit by analyzing customer requirements and project specifications, and by recommending optimal technical and cost-effective solutions using established quotation tools.
Support the development and qualification of opportunities by reviewing project scope, confirming alignment with Rockwell Automation’s product offerings, and providing inputs to the Commercial Lead and Sales Team, as well as estimated pricing and budgetary proposals.
Understand customer drivers for each proposal and develop solutions that combine technical expertise and creativity to deliver value-added, cost‑effective outcomes tailored to each opportunity.
Evaluate proposal costs and margins, seeking approvals as required under the Delegation of Authority to define customer pricing and manage the commercial aspects of each opportunity.
Convert quotes into orders in SAP upon receiving the customer’s purchase order, ensuring full alignment between the PO and the proposal (pricing, delivery terms, payment milestones, etc.).
Build application expertise for the assigned product lines and ensure that all quoted products will perform properly in the intended application.
Maintain organized records of all proposal documentation—including customer specifications, cost sheets, approvals, and other relevant information—according to established procedures.
Manage incoming proposal requests from the Sales Team, understand priorities, and organize workload to meet expected proposal delivery dates.
Respond to customer technical and commercial inquiries related to issued proposals.
Provide all necessary technical support documents for bid processes, including data sheets, product catalogs, certifications, and related materials.
Develop market pricing awareness to correctly establish price levels for different markets and regions.
Ensure a complete and high‑quality handoff of all technical and commercial proposal details to the execution team.
Perform all activities in compliance with current Health, Safety, and Environment legislation, as well as Rockwell Automation’s internal procedures and policies.
