We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Commercial Engagement Manager to join our US/Canada Large Pharma Research and Development Solutions (R&DS) Sales team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting Strategic Business Development (SBD) leaders, Clinical business developers (BDs) and sales management by driving internal operations, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and enabling commercial success. Your responsibilities will include managing sales performance metrics, maintaining Large Pharma M&A and pipeline trackers, streamlining contracted Gross New Business (cGNB) reporting, supporting Large Pharma sales leadership with ad-hoc organizational requests, and supporting the internal RFP/RFI/bid defense processes. While this role is not client-facing or quota-carrying, it is essential to the team’s ability to grow our core clinical and overall R&DS businesses. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, operational discipline, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This is a remote position, with a preference for candidates based near Durham, NC for occasional in-person collaboration.
Essential Functions:
Owns the Large Pharma M&A process, including timely updates to the activity tracker and management of CRM hierarchy account change process.Works with Large Pharma leadership to establish new and/or improve current processes for Large Pharma initiatives, such as account diagnostic tools, cGNB reporting and annual target setting.Drives the completion of internal, ad-hoc requests for information across the Large Pharma sales team for various meetings/needs (Business Review/Operating Review prep, GBO requests, Headwinds/Tailwinds, details of win/loss data, etc.).Assists SBDs and Clinical BDs with RFP/RFI Salesforce CRM responsibilities, such as opportunity creation, advance plan updates and new bid/rebid requests.Updates and circulates weekly opportunity pipeline tracker, strike rate and binary scenario estimates to Large Pharma sales leadership.Supports SBDs and Clinical BDs with coordination and organization of bid defense prep meetings.Completes ad-hoc, Large Pharma-related sales analyses (e.g., YoY target achievement trends, product mix assessments, etc.).Builds and/or procures resources for sales and ensures understanding and enablement of these resources so they are utilized effectively.Coordination across the team regarding conference priorities, attendance, customer invites, etc.Provides training (e.g., Salesforce CRM) to SBDs/Clinical BDs as required.Coordination across Large Pharma teams to develop and progress team-wide strategies.Qualifications:

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $69,600.00 - $173,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
