Commercial Document Prep Specialist

Hours: Monday - Friday 10:00am to 7:00pm ET (7:00am - 4:00pm PT)

Location: Hybrid – In-office 2 days per week after training

Essential Job Function

​Prepares loan document packages and ensures all documents are present to ensure Bank’s positionInterprets and develops documents for collateral associated with complex commercial loansIdentifies simple contradictions in documentation requests and seeks resolutionFacilitates simple validation of borrowing entityRegularly works in various systems and image-enabled work queues to ensure timely processing of tasks.Accurately identifies and indexes task-related documents.Responds to internal customers’ basic questions and inquiries in a timely mannerDemonstrates commitment to continuous improvementResearches requests to a correct conclusion and effectively communicates the resultsAttends and participates in document preparation classes and other related developmental trainingsApplies knowledge of basic accounting principlesConsults with internal client partners and applies discretionary judgment to accommodate documentation inquiriesDemonstrates a strong understanding of commercial loan documentation and regulations, as well as knowledge/experience of the loan accounting systems, monetary processing, and some system maintenance functions.Assists in training new colleaguesOther duties as assigned

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of commercial loan documentation experience in a high-volume processing operations roleHigh School Diploma or equivalent work experience required. College degree preferredTime management and organizational skills to handle high transaction volumes independently and accurately to meet production goalsExceptional attention to detail and ability to perform with a high degree of speed and accuracyExcellent customer service skills and ability to handle inquiries independentlyStrong written and verbal communication skillsInterpersonal skills to works well with others in a fully developed team environmentOpen-minded and adaptable to new ideas in a changing environmentAbility to identify issues and demonstration of basic analytical, research, and problem-resolution skillsModerate knowledge of banking policies, procedures, government regulationsComfortable navigating multiple computer systems and applications, utilizing resources to solve routine challengesAbility to work with minimal supervision in decision makingProficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications – including Outlook, Word, ExcelProficiency in the following systems is preferred:  Hogan, ALS, CLS/CL3, LoanIQ, LaserPro, nCino, CWA, Lotus Notes, CRINT, SBU

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $20.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience.
