Commercial Banking Portfolio Associate for Wholesale Pre-Close Financial Statement Spreading

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Associate. This job is  responsible for credit portfolio management to meet the long-term financial objectives and risk tolerance for commercial banking clients. Serves as a key member of a client’s deal team.


In this role, you will:

Research complex financial and credit information for commercial business, or high net worth customer loan packages, according to business unit standards within Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional areaReview basic issues, policies, or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to low to medium risk tasks and deliverablesUnderwrite loans with aggregate credit exposure based upon approved credit authority limitsInvestigate credit standards and determine credit worthiness of high net worth loansReceive direction from supervisor and exercise independent judgement while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsCollaborate and consult with managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders including internal as well as external customers


Required Qualifications:

6+ months of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

•Partner/Stakeholder management.•Escalation, Query & Specialized Industry handling.•Handle the queries both internal and external and be available for all the process related calls and meetings. •Execute Management Reports like MIS, Volume Analysis, Capacity plan Etc.•Process Improvement Initiatives.PROCESS:•Core banking & loan Operations experience (Overall 8-10 yrs.).•Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word•>98% Accuracy.•Analytical and problem-solving skills.•Perform all 4 skills (QC, project management, coaching, & training).•Process all industries across the credit spreading portfolio.PEOPLE:•SOP creation & Subject matter expertise•Trainer (Train the Trainer certified) & Coach•Provide effective feedback •Rating High Meets and Above•Excellent Comprehension skillsRISK:•Strong Risk Mindset•Audit and Risk Call management.•Identify RISKs proactively and highlight them to the stake holders. •Drive RCSA controls and ensure escalations are handled accurately and timely.
