Wood is currently recruiting a Commercial Assistant on a staff basis to support the commercial team within the Shell One Gas project team based in Lowestoft. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement usually in the pattern of 4/1 or 3/2 office/home split, weighted in favour of being more office based in the early stages to make sure the candidates are supported, trained and made to feel part of the team.

At a high level, the job objectives are, under supervision:

Maximise commercial performance while managing business/project risk (pre- and post-contract) Commercialisation of a sub-Business Groups service offerings to support business growth and Strategy Ensure compliance with relevant commercial/contracting policies Resolution of disputes/claims and cash collection issues Embedding effective commercial governance and assurance across the sub-Business Group / Project / Portfolio of Projects Supporting the tender governance process for the sub-Business Group

P&E offers a wide range of opportunities which will allow you to develop your skills across a portfolio of onshore projects in different sectors. Our current portfolio includes green hydrogen and fuel switching, as well as supporting local clients with energy transition.  Additionally, we work on UK refineries, petrochemical facilities, fine chemicals and pharmaceutical facilities. We have a number of clients who we are working with to design their pilot plants to test exciting new technologies, with a view to partnering with them as they move to design and build full scale commercial facilities.
