The opportunity
As our Commercial and Pricing Architect you’ll lead the development of robust financial analysis and support pricing development for large, complex pursuits. The role works as part of a wider pursuit and account team, which typically comprise the Engagement Partner, Client Service Partner (CSP), Client Executives, Strategic Pursuit Leader and technical solution specialists.
Reporting to the Oceania Pursuits and Commercial Excellence Leader, the Commercial & Pricing Architect will work across Service Lines to:
Support EY teams develop a compelling commercial value propositions Articulate the expected financial performance of a strategic engagement Contribute to the development of people, capability, reusable tools and pricing assets, and the embedding of commercial best practice, processes, knowledge and behaviours within EY.
This is a hybrid position based in Naarm – Melbourne or Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
Lead/support the design of competitive pricing proposition for strategic pursuits, achieve an appropriate EY commercial return, and manage key risks – working closely with the Engagement Partner, Client Executive, Strategic Pursuit Leader and solution architect (where applicable), Support Master Service Agreement development/ renegotiation and strategic panels with pricing modelling The pricing design may include costing the solution components, development of the Client Business Case, the EY Business Case, a pricing response, contractual pricing documents, addressing client concerns/requirements and mitigating EY risks.
Skills and attributes for success
5+ years of working in a professional services firm, technology consulting firm, corporate development, finance operations or investment banking 2 + years providing costing and pricing services (preferably including experience in Managed Services and outcomes based pricing). Bachelor’s degree in a numerical field (Accounting / Statistics / engineering etc.) Demonstrable experience of having led and supported complex pricing

Work experience within professional services firms, global technology service providers, or managed service firms Experience designing and presenting internal and external value propositions that clearly articulate the value creation potential of EY’s product, service, solution or transaction Collaboration skills; working effectively with groups across all levels in EY High level of flexibility, drive and ability to work under pressure.
