**Job Description**
Join a reputable manufacturer specializing in pipes, valves, and flanges (PVF) as a Combo Welder. This role involves both welding and fitting duties, using blueprints to layout and fit your own materials. You will work with thicker Tee fittings, ranging from 1" to 1.5", and up to 2 feet in diameter, using carbon and stainless steel. The position requires proficiency in MIG and Flux Core welding, including performing 6G welds in position. Expect to work on large parts such as flanges, well necks, and slip offs, with varying sizes daily.
**Responsibilities**
+ Layout and fit materials using blueprints.
+ Perform MIG and Flux Core welding on carbon and stainless steel.
+ Execute 6G welds in position on parts up to 2 feet in diameter.
+ Fabricate and weld parts including flanges and well necks.
+ Ensure quality and precision in welding tasks.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years of welding experience.
+ Proficiency in MIG and Flux Core welding.
+ Ability to perform 6G pipe welding in position.
+ Experience with welding 1"+ thick carbon steel materials.
+ Capability to read and interpret blueprints and layouts.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 10+ years of experience in both fitting and welding is preferred.
+ Experience welding thicker and larger parts.
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous.

**Work Environment**
Work in a large, renovated manufacturing shop equipped with overhead and jib cranes at every machining station. The machine shop is open-air and non-climate controlled, with large fans for air circulation. The environment is diverse, with communication in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Safety attire includes steel toes, jeans, work shirt, and safety glasses. Day shift runs from 7:00am to 4:00pm, with potential for additional hours and weekend work based on production needs. The night shift, currently being expanded, runs from 4:00pm to 1:00am, with an effort to minimize weekend work.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
