We're looking for a passionate and knowledgeable College Admissions Guidance Counsellor to join our growing team in the Oxford/Southbury, Connecticut area. If you're driven to help students navigate the often-overwhelming college admissions process and excited about being a trusted mentor during one of the most important phases of their academic journey—this role is for you.

Experienced in guiding high school students through the U.S. college application process.Passionate about helping students find their best-fit post-secondary opportunities.Knowledgeable in areas such as essay coaching, college list development, interview preparation, and financial aid basics.A great communicator—both with students and their families.Familiar with current college admissions trends and timelines.Organized, empathetic, and able to personalize the process to fit each student’s unique goals and strengths. Your Role as a College Admissions Counsellor: Provide one-on-one support to high school students as they prepare for college admissions.Help students build their college lists based on interests, academics, and financial fit.Offer personalized coaching on application strategy, timelines, essay writing, and interview preparation.Guide students and families through the financial aid and scholarship landscape.Maintain open communication with parents to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the process.Empower students to present their most authentic and competitive selves. Preferred Qualifications: A background in education, counseling, or college advising.Experience working in a school guidance office, admissions office, or private college counseling.Familiarity with Common App, FAFSA, and other key college admissions tools/platforms.Strong writing and editing skills (especially for essay coaching).Certification in college counselling is a plus, but not required.
